Japanese-inspired soft drinks brand Chu Lo has hired Manchester-based consumer PR agency Full Volume to handle its media relations.

The agency will focus on driving coverage in national, lifestyle and food and drink titles, in addition to building the sour soda brand's profile across drinks and business press.

Full Volume has also been tasked with building the personal profiling and PR activity for Chu Lo founder Steph Buttery, who has just been announced as a contestant on the upcoming BBC show called Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars. The show focuses on food and drink entrepreneurs who compete to secure a £150,000 investment from Gordon Ramsay.

The agency will deliver a programme of PR activity to establish awareness and drive customer demand, which will include running a consumer press office focused on product placement, influencer engagement campaigns and profiling opportunities.

Chu Lo founder Steph Buttery said:  "Full Volume is a great fit for Chu Lo. The team’s enthusiasm, ideas and understanding of our business brief were very impressive, and their experience with both start-ups and established FMCG brands is second to none. We're really looking forward to working with them over the coming months and building a long-term partnership."

Full Volume PR Managing Partner Rebecca Hallinan added: “This brief plays perfectly to our experience in food and drink PR and we're also thrilled to be working alongside such an ambitious and innovative entrepreneur as Steph. Sky's the limit with this one!”
